Beauty and the Beast
Beauty and the beast is film directed by Bill Condon, while the story script is written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopaulus. This film is worked on by the Studio Of the Mandeville Fils in collaboration with Walt Disney Pictures. The genre of the film is fantasy, musical, and romance. The film release on March, 17th, 2017. The duration is 129 minute. The actors or actress who starred in the film is Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast Prince, Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as LeFou, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Hattie Morahan as agatha, etc. Beauty and the beast is film adaption from legendary tale “As Old as the Time” of Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont’s eighteenth-century fairy tale and also been appointed to the film in 1991 and became one of the most succesfull animated film in that era.
This film tells us about a beautiful woman falls in love with beast prince. In France, A magician disguised as a beggar, Agatha, arrives at a party and offers the host, a cold-hearted prince, a rose in exchange for shelter. After being rejected by the prince, She curses him into an ugly creature and his servants became household furniture, and wipes out the entire palace from the memory of the people. She gives the prince the roses that have given bewithced and warns him that if he can’t learn to love someone and love back before the last petals fall, he and his servants won’t be able to be human again forever. A few later, Belle’s father, Maurice, is lost in the forest and eventually seeks refuge in the castle of Beast. Beast take him for picking roses without permission. Belle goes looking for him and find him in the castle prison. Beast agrees to let her replace Maurice. Belle befriends the castle servants, who entertain her with spectacular dinner. Belle wanders about the forbidden place. So, she goes to that place and she find the Beast’s rose. Because of that, Beast is angry and then he drive her away from the castle. In the forest, Belle is cornered by a wolves. The Beast come on time to save Belle but is hurt as a result. Belle take care of him until he recovers and as it begin to make friends with Beast. At village, Gaston agrees to help Maurice save Belle in the hope that Belle will want to marry him. When Maurice finds out about his intentions and refuses him, Gaston leaves Maurice in the forest for the wolves. Maurice is helped by Agatha. When Maurice tells what happened to the villagers, Gaston convinces them to send him to a mental hospital. After dancing with the Beast, Belle knows the state of her father through the mirror. Beast frees her to save Maurice and gives her a mirror. At village, Belle proved Maurice’s sanity by showing Beast through a mirrior to the villagers. Realizing that Belle loves Beast, gaston locked Belle up with her father and drive the villagers to the castle to kill the Beast. Maurice and Belle escape and Belle hurries back to the castle. As the fight progresses, Gaston leaves LeFou, who ends up turning the party to the castle servants to fight the villagers. Gaston attacks the Beast who is too weak to turn against him, but eventually get his power again after seeing Belle have returned. Beast decides to release Gaston before reuniting with Belle. Unexpectedly, Gaston shoots the Beast from a bridge that the collapses and kills Gaston. The Beast dies as the last petal falls, and the servants become inanimate. Belle comes toward Beast. Belle is so sad until she cries. When Belle reveals her love to the Beast, Agatha breaks her curse. After that, Beast and his servants became human again and the castle became a beautiful castle again. Then, The prince and Belle dance happily on a celebration party .
The actors and the actress have a great acting skills. They can bring their character very well. It can make the film more alive. Beauty and the beast is almost no different from the animated version. However, every scene, song, and every impression that gets of this version fells much more glorious and more hit. The songs are play succesfully. It can make the audience not boring when see the film and can make us nostalgic. This film is also has a deep meaning.. On the artistic team and wardrobe is so great. They able to show fairy tale nuance of disney. Beauty and the beast can’t be separated from the touch of CGI. The CGI is so great, but the sweep on CGI on Beast appearance and some animals look less smooth. The film also tends to lift the feel of the dark, but quickly change along with the displacement setting of the story. As in the animated version, the film also takes the setting of a story in a village in France. But, Belle’s style of speech is thick with a British accent. It can make the audience confused.
This film is a beautiful film which can captivating us like captivating Beast of Belle, a magical fantasy, a sweet and moving love story. After we see this film, we realize one thing “bad outside is not necessarily bad inside”. Over all, this film is a success to make us nostalgic with a beautiful musical film. Not only entertaining, but many also taught to the audience especially about the sincerity of love, courage, and the sacrifice.

Film juga cenderung mengangkat nuansa kegelapan, namun dengan cepat berubah seiring perpindahan setting cerita. Seperti dalam versi animasinya, film ini juga mengambil setting cerita di sebuah desa di Prancis. Tapi, gaya bicaranya Belle kental dengan aksen British. Itu bisa membuat bingung penonton.
Film ini adalah film indah yang bisa memikat kita seperti Beast of Belle yang menawan, fantasi magis, kisah cinta yang manis dan mengharukan. Setelah kita melihat film ini, kita menyadari satu hal “di luar yang buruk belum tentu buruk
