SINJAI, BB Britaniacenter.com – Even though our students have not become champions, the achievements they have achieved are extraordinary and we should be grateful for being able to compete with the best students in Indonesia.
This was revealed by the Head of the Sinjai School Principal Work Conference (MKKS) for SMA Sinjai, Drs. Muhammad Ali Musa when confirmed, Monday (1/02/21). He said he was grateful for the achievements made by two Sinjai students at the national level.
“Of the 650 students who participated, two of our students were able to enter the top 70 in the final round and were ranked 49 and 52,” he said.
Ali Musa, who is also the Principal of SMAN 3 Sinjai, hopes that the achievements of the two Sinjai students can be a motivation for other students to make proud achievements and make the Sinjai region proud.
Two students from Sinjai Regency who made it through the final round on behalf of Nurfauziah, a student of SMAN 3 Sinjai, were in 49th place and Muh Ayyub, a student of SMAN 1 Sinjai, was in 52nd.
The winners of this year’s competition will be announced in a virtual prize presentation ceremony, which will be broadcast live on the Goethe-Institut Indonesien YouTube channel on January 30, 2021.
The first winner of the competition was Frederick Owen Tesalonika (SMA Kristen 1 Penabur Jakarta), Delon Arjuna (SMA Negeri 4 Medan) as the second winner, Nathanael Farrel Monika (SMA Kristen 1 Penabur Jakarta) in third place, and Nicholas Ciputra (SMA Ignatius Global School Palembang) ) in fourth place.
Each winner receives a scholarship of Rp. 17 million to attend German courses at the Goethe-Institut Indonesien.
The National Level German Olympiad itself is an annual event held by the Goethe-Institut Indonesien which is being held this time in the midst of a pandemic that has hit the world. (*)
